National Duals Invitational Reveals Bracket for $1 Million Wrestling Event

The National Duals Invitational, a groundbreaking $1 million collegiate wrestling event sponsored by Paycom, revealed the matchups for its 16-team bracket on Tuesday through a special selection show broadcast live on FloWrestling. The marquee tournament takes place Nov. 15-16 at the BOK Center in Tulsa.

The National Duals Invitational revealed the matchups for its 16-team bracket on Tuesday through a special selection show broadcast live on FloWrestling.

The National Duals Invitational committee selected four top seeds for the inaugural event based on preseason projections. The seeded teams’ opponents and additional first-round matchups were then randomly drawn among the rest of the field to complete the bracket.

“These matchups showcase the very best of collegiate wrestling,” said Matt Surber, tournament director. “The National Duals Invitational is about elevating the sport, rewarding programs for winning and delivering a can’t-miss event for fans nationwide.”

The tournament will feature the following opening-round matchups on Saturday, Nov. 15:

  • No. 1 Iowa vs. Missouri, 9 a.m. CST
  • Illinois vs. Little Rock, 9 a.m. CST
  • Northern Iowa vs. NC State, 9 a.m. CST
  • No. 4 Oklahoma State vs. Cornell, 9 a.m. CST
  • No. 3 Ohio State vs. Wyoming, 11 a.m. CST
  • Virginia Tech vs. Minnesota, 11 a.m. CST
  • Arizona State vs. Michigan, 11 a.m. CST
  • No. 2 Nebraska vs. Lehigh, 11 a.m. CST

Winners will advance to the quarterfinals that evening, while teams not moving forward in the championship bracket will still compete for prize money through the consolation bracket.

Semifinals for both the championship and consolation brackets are set for Sunday morning, leading up to the championship final.

FloWrestling will stream 27 duals live and provide extensive coverage ahead of the event. The championship final will air live at 6 p.m. CST on ESPNU as the two finalists collide for the $200,000 grand prize.

Together, the 16 programs represent some of the most storied traditions in collegiate wrestling, combining for more than 60 NCAA team titles and over 450 individual national champions.

Teams will compete for unprecedented prize money featuring a total purse of more than $1 million. The top eight teams will earn payouts, with the winning squad walking away with $200,000. The second- and third-place teams will earn $150,000, while fourth place will earn $75,000. Fifth- through eighth-place payouts will be, respectively: $50,000, $40,000, $25,000 and $20,000. All participating teams will receive $20,000 for attending.
