NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 14, 2025--

BabyBjörn, a Swedish family company, and the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) are strengthening their collaboration through a long-term corporate partnership. The initiative aims to support families affected by hip dysplasia.

The partnership focuses on promoting education and increasing awareness about hip dysplasia, a condition often discovered during the first months of a baby’s life, which is the same phase that BabyBjörn develops products for . This collaboration is a natural fit, as both organizations are dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of babies and their families.

The International Hip Dysplasia Institute is a collaborative, international, not-for-profit organization committed to providing education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The IHDI is the most comprehensive and reliable resource about hip dysplasia intervention, diagnosis, treatment, and research.

“The partnership with BabyBjörn will enable IHDI to strengthen the educational outreach further and give support to more families worldwide. BabyBjörn is a fitting partner for IHDI because of their dedication to hip health,” says Dr. Pablo Castañeda, Medical Director of the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.

BabyBjörn, founded in 1961, has designed baby carriers since 1973. To date, more than 50 million babies have been carried in one of the brand’s various models. The company’s purpose is to simplify life for parents with small children through innovative product development, which involves close cooperation with families, medical experts, and safety specialists .

“Babies’ well-being is our reason for being, and simplifying life for parents is our passion. We want to offer the best possible support to families, not only with products, but also with helpful communication. IHDI has been a close advisor for many years, and we are thrilled to strengthen our partnership further, ” says Stina Westerstad, CEO of BabyBjörn.

The start of this new partnership was marked by an interdisciplinary symposium on safe babywearing, held in New York on October 9, bringing together experts from various scientific fields.
